The most recent version, Cross/CrossDJ 3.3, launched in October 2014 offers a 4 channel mixer, 4 Band EQs, 8 pad samplers, many different effects and features, seamless looping, automatic beat-gridding and beat-matching. Cross/CrossDJ is renowned for its easy and effortless integration of iTunes tracks or any other media format into Cross.^[2]

Cross/CrossDJ is adapted to both PC and Mac platforms and is compatible with nearly all external MIDI controllers. DJs are able to control the software using either the mouse/keyboard or MIDI controllers. 2nd User-: This player is nicely set up with a logical workflow. The Keylock function has a bug so the first time I set it does not work so I have to go back to another screen press the keylock function to make it work. An annoyance that I hope is fixed in later versions. More worrying is my mp3 files are being corrupted sounding one or two-second loops although to be fair this may not be the fault of Cross DJ. It is the only player I use (mostly). So it is good and maybe will be better.

3rd User-: Good app overall and best in-store but couldn’t help dig into the samples and some just seem really bad in quality. I mean if you bought this app it is most likely for a mix but you can’t do much on the sample side including recording your own as it just seems low quality?. Theirs also no two-way volume for each side of the samples and its impossible to use single samples that have been bought from the in-app store and try jumping around to do something else. It is not bad for mobile but if its a feature it should work correctly if its the best that can be done its understandable. Also perhaps saving in wav format might be useful then you could just load the sounds back up to re-edit without much quality loss. Don’t hate the app much recommend to buy but it comes with a few faults.
